Xochimilco is a picturesque area located in the southern part of Mexico City, known for its extensive network of canals, floating gardens (chinampas), and vibrant traditional culture.
The canals of Xochimilco are remnants of the ancient Aztec civilization’s agricultural system, which utilized floating gardens to grow crops like maize, beans, and squash.
